My daughters playroom sits just off our kitchen and to enable it to blend in with the rest of the house I had kept this room quite neutral. On one deary day I was sat in the room playing with her and I thought if it were not for the toys this could be mistaken for an adult space, it was quite unimaginative for my 3 year old daughter, Flo.
So I went on a wallpaper hunt and came across this gorgeous wallpaper by ISAK. Designer and founder of ISAK is Sandra Isaksson. Sandra’s style is unmistakeably Scandinavian with splashes of colour influenced by her heritage and travels. She is a graphic designer and illustrator, and in her creative studio she works with pattern design for textile, wallpaper and print as well as book design, corporate identity and illustration.
It is unusual in the fact that it is made to measure to fit the dimension of your wall. It is then delivered in numbered drops, so there is no pattern match to worry about.
With this idiots guide, I decided to hang it myself and I have to say it was a joy – even with a desperate housewives playing in the background, I managed to keep up with the gossip on wisteria lane and pop this up, with not one cock up, !
The alphabet wallpaper is part of the ISAK feature wall range and is pricier because it is made in drops but you do save in decorating bills because it is so simple to hang. It starts at £35.00 per square meter.
If you do not want to go the whole hog of wall papering, ISAK have created wall prints to match from £25.00
