Our customers (and us of course !) think the Nursing Chairs launched earlier this year by Olli Ella were gorgeous – so when they announced they were launching a new bedding range our pulses were racing !

So we are now delighted to introduce Olli Ella’s delightful new Nursery Bedding and Interiors Collection. The range includes two stylish set of prints – Poppet and Posey. The products include not just modern and stylish Cotbed Bedding Sets but also a few interior pieces such as toddler beanbags and framed prints to help you co-ordinate a Nursery theme.

Pkolino is one of most popular brands amongst our Nubie customers – so of course we were jumping up and down for joy when we learnt that Pkolino were expanding their collection to the Europe.

The new range includes a table and chair set – and for those of you with a brood of three or more toddlers you will be delighted to hear that you can actually buy extra single chairs (take note other designers !). There are cute craft tables and easels for the budding artists. All of this additional range is available in white and orange.

The table & chair set starts at £140.00 and the Craft Table £120.00

Well Easter is nearly upon us ! lets keep our fingers crossed that we are blessed with lovely weather so the children can get out and about and burn off all that choccy in their tummies.

We have some very cute Easter gifts at Nubie made by the talented Danish firm Gry & Sif – made of felt. The designs are created in Denmark, and the products are manufactured in Nepal, where Gry and Sig work with approximately 500 women workers. They are first Danish company in our industry to achieve certification by the World Fair Trade Organization, so all their products are naturally produced under fair conditions.

The lovely Lucy at Bambino Goodies alerted us to a new venue for Kids in Hove last week, and wrote a piece on her trip to Red Jelly Kids - a creative play class for the under-sixes which as she quoted ‘lets them get down and dirty with paint, glue, glitter, jelly, water, goo, feathers, and clay’.

My daughter Flo (aged 4) just loves to paint – and not just on paper ! As we live in Sussex, I thought this may be an ideal treat for her as Mummy would not hold her back with her nagging about not spraying the furniture, carpets, cat etc !

Each week Red Jelly hold a theme – our was Wiggle & Wriggle - The brief ! – ‘Exploring wriggly wiggly things in the messy trays, decorating a big wriggly creature on our wall easel, and making concertina snakes’.

Well it was a huge success and when the 45 minute session was up – I could feel I may have a problem on my hands getting her to leave but a perfect wind-down story linked to the weekly theme did the trick !

I would recommend this to all toddlers and babies - I saw some cute babies getting their hands into huge piles of cooked spaghetti in a tray which they adored !

It is so well run with great choice of non toxic paints and craft material and painting smocks provided.

Red Jelly was set up by Tash Tamlyn, a mum to two young children.

An art and craft enthusiast, who just loves making things, Tash hopes to share her creativity and imagination with parents/carers and children, in a playful environment.

So all you Sussex Mums and Dads out there – this is a must and wonderful value at £5.00 per child. They run all week except Tuesday.

Nubie are great fans of ISAK and their wonderful contemporary designs. So when we heard that Sandra Issakson had design input into the latest range of Tree Top Friends baby toys for Skip Hop we knew they would be fabulous.

It would seem that Owls are Hoot right now (bad joke i know !). They also appear in the Ferm Kids Range and I have just noticed that the Designers Guild Bedding range now has owls too !

We are a little hooked on Wall murals here at Nubie, they are effortless to apply and you can transform a room in half an hour and create some stunning effects. If you want to put some elbow grease into it – some of the best looks are created by using contrasting paint on the walls first.

We are therefore excited about our latest find of wall murals which are made in Belgium by Apple Pie Designs.

Spotty Dotty Stools

I called them spotty, my daughter aged three thought they looked dotty ! Flo got quite excited when she saw these, nabbed one and claimed it her own, we usually have to hide toy orders, but never thought I would have to hide new furniture !

We are always on the look out for childrens furniture which is both good value and stylish and we think these spotty dotty stools hit the mark at just £25.00

They can even fold up and be put away when not in use. Each stool has a safety lock so it cannot collapse when in use and the seats are wipeable with a damp cloth. I have teamed mine up with a white Linus table from Magis and it looks devine.

We currently have them in blue and red, with pink and black due in stock soon.
